• Good Shepherd has made a commitment to growing leadership throughout the school, through leadership roles and opportunities for students to lead the planning and execution of school events and activities.
• Good Shepherd has demonstrated a clear and strategic approach to school wide goal setting, focusing on social-emotional development during the first semester and shifting to academic growth in the second. 
• Students clearly feel a sense of ownership for their Leadership Portfolios and their contents.
• Students have ample opportunities to lead their own learning, including both short-term and long-term project-based learning opportunities, as well as grade level and school wide celebrations of student learning. 
• The school provides a large and diverse array of opportunities for student leadership across the classroom, school, and community.
