We have recently seen notifications of which schools will have strike activity tomorrow.

Schools with CUPE Local 2559 Strike Activity for Thursday November 28, 2024:

• Our Lady of the Rivers Catholic School
• Father Beauregard School
• École St Paul School

• Greely Road School

What this means for schools with strike activity:

• Early Entry Program (EEP) Classes will be closed at schools with strike activity. (All other programs will be open)
• Specialized Classes (Vocational Education at Father Mercredi HS and Independent Living Programs at Father Beauregard and Holy Trinity HS) will be closed if there is strike activity in those facilities.
• Individual Students not eligible to attend on strike days have been previously contacted by their schools. These students will not be able to attend school tomorrow. 
• Out of School Care (OSC) Programs will be closed at schools with strike activity. (All other programs will be open)

Program closures only happen on strike action days in your school.

While recognizing the right of our support staff to engage in legal work action by striking, we know this action has an impact on our classrooms and schools. We remain committed to bargaining and working to find a resolution.
