Good evening Fort McMurray Catholic Schools Staff and Families,
 

We are pleased to share that a tentative resolution has been reached regarding the current job action (strike). This tentative agreement remains subject to ratification by the membership of CUPE Local 2559.
 

CUPE Local 2559 has indicated that if ratified, staff will return to work on Wednesday March 19, 2025. 
 

If a vote by CUPE Local 2559 members is successful:

• To ensure a smooth and safe transition, there will be a short staggered reopening of some programming.
  • More information will be shared tomorrow as plans continue to evolve. 

Important to note: 
 

No details of this tentative settlement will be shared until after ratification.

We are extremely grateful that a tentative resolution has been found that may bring all students and our valued support staff back to school as soon as possible.
