Fort McMurray Catholic Schools is proud to share that our nominee for the Excellence in Catholic Education Award for 2025 is Claudette Fidler! 

Claudette embodies Catholic faith and passion in a way that touches everyone around her. Throughout her time with our school division, she truly lives out the commandment to "Love your neighbor as yourself" (Mark 12:31), creating a sense of family where everyone feels valued and cared for. Her ability to build a faith-based community is remarkable. Beyond the school walls, Claudette is an active member of St. Paul Parish, regularly attending Mass and contributing to the spiritual life of the community. She emphasizes celebrating students’ faith milestones like First Reconciliation, First Communion, and Confirmation, ensuring these significant moments are honored. Claudette’s deep faith is evident in her actions, serving as an inspiration to others. Her legacy of love, leadership, and faith continues to inspire all who are fortunate enough to know her.
