Originally from St. John’s, Newfoundland, I moved to Fort McMurray in 1988, where I began my teaching career with the Fort McMurray Catholic School District as a teacher. My husband John and I married in 1992 and were blessed with three wonderful children, all of whom attended Fort McMurray Catholic Schools from Kindergarten through graduation.
Since retiring in 2021 I've enjoyed spending more time with my husband, children and grandson.
My faith has always been an important part of my life. I was born into a strong Catholic family and attended Catholic Schools throughout my education. After moving to Fort McMurray, I attended St. John’s Parish for many years, until our family moved to Timberlea. I now attend mass at St. Paul’s Parish.
Between my time as a teacher and my experience as a parent, education has always been a priority for me. As a lifelong Catholic and a member of the Catholic Church, I am deeply committed to the continued success of Fort McMurray Catholic Schools. As a Trustee, I promise to work diligently to ensure that our schools are a safe space to learn and are welcoming places for all children in Fort McMurray, including my grandchildren.
