Chantal Beaver is a seasoned leader and community advocate who has dedicated her career to fostering strong, inclusive communities. A proud alumnus of Mount Saint Vincent University (MSVU) in Halifax, Chantal completed her undergraduate and graduate degrees while actively engaging in student governance as a member of the university's Board of Governors and Senate. Chantal also holds a Graduate Certificate in Professional Communication Management from Royal Roads University.
Chantal began her career at the YWCA of Halifax, focusing on empowering young women, and became Director of Women's Services in 2010, leading initiatives that improved the lives of young women. In 2012, she moved to Wood Buffalo as Executive Director at the Hub Family Resource Centre. From 2018 to 2022, as Executive Director of FuseSocial, she led a team fostering impact, collaboration, and innovation. She currently holds an Executive position at Keyano College, where she oversees marketing and communications, Indigenous relations, advancement, alumni relations, and business development.
Chantal has extensive leadership experience on various boards and committees. From 2017 to 2024, she was a Board Director for the Regional Recreation Corporation of Wood Buffalo. She also held leadership roles with the Fort McMurray Early Years Coalition, the Boys & Girls Club Board, the Convergence Advisory Committee, the RMWB CIP Advisory Board, and the Social Recovery Committee, among others. She is a founding member of the Alberta Non-Profit Network. In 2022, Chantal was appointed to the CASE Pacific Northwest and Western Canada Cabinet, where she still currently serves.
Chantal was named to the inaugural Top 50 under 50 list by YMM magazine. She has also received both the Heart of Wood Buffalo Executive Leadership Award and the Board Leadership Award. In 2025, she was honoured as a Woman of Inspiration by Girls Inc. of Northern Alberta.
Chantal and her husband, Mike, are proud parents of two children who completed elementary studies at Father Beaugard School. Chantal's son is currently enrolled at Father Patrick Mercredi Community High School, and her daughter attends Holy Trinity Catholic High School.
